About Reaction Time & Tips to Improve
The average human visual reaction time is around 250ms (0.25 seconds). Pro gamers and athletes can reach 150 to 180ms, because consistent training optimizes the path from the brain processing a visual signal to commanding the muscles. Reaction time varies a lot even within a single day depending on sleep, caffeine and fatigue. To improve your score, fix your gaze on the center of the screen and keep your finger relaxed and ready. Rather than trying to "predict" the color change and pressing early, practice reacting to the change itself and your average will improve noticeably. Measure several times and check your last-5 average. The average is closer to your real ability than a single best score.
